Fountain of Inspiration

FIRST THERE WAS A SOCIAL MEDIA LIGHTHOUSE

I wrote in March 2014 about the importance of a Social Media Lighthouse (post is in Finnish).

Shortly, a Social Media Lighthouse is a person or a brand, who shows you with great examples and blog posts, how to sail in the big ocean called Social Media. A Social Media Lighthouse is a social mentor – for anyone interested. I launched the idea during a radio interview made by Finland’s radio talkshow Yle Puhe.

In my blog I presented my own Social Media Lighthouses of 2014. They were @katleena @jjanhone @jeffbullas @bryankramer and @mashable

I was honored to read on Twitter that I am a Social Media Lighthouse for many of my Finnish followers. Thank you all for this!

THEN THERE IS THE FOUNTAIN OF INSPIRATION

I thought about last year (2014)…. I thought about all the superb followers I have on Twitter, LinkedIn and Pinterest. I thought about the great Social Media Lighthouses in my network. Then I came up with a new idea, the next thing I want to blog about: Fountain of Inspiration.

Especially during The Social Age (the Human Era) inspiration is important. Without inspiration it is hard to write, create, blog, communicate, innovate, lead, hold speeches etc.

WHERE DO YOU FIND INSPIRATION?

Some of us find it often within ourselves. I am happy to be one of these people. I have met fantastic people and read inspiring blogs and books. That’s why I find inspiration within me for my work, for blogging and for my art work.

Take a minute and think about all the people and brands around you. One or two are probably an inspiration for you to do your work in a new way, to be courageous, to try something totally new or to write a blog?

My Fountain of Inspiration in the English Social Media world are:

Bryan Kramer, Simon PorterTed Coine, Mark Babbit, Geoff de Weaver , Lolly Daskal and Tamara McCleary.

I am honored and happy to be connected on Twitter (or LinkedIn) with these amazing professionals.
